About Us

Mikimoiselle is where Paris meets Tokyo. Inspired by a trip to Paris in 2010, I wanted to open an e-boutique that would house a collection of beautiful and unique fashions from artisan designers in France and Japan. Having spent all my life in Japan and the U.S., little did I know that French and Japanese style would become the platform for my own shop.

It’s a perfect match, since the French and Japanese share a keen sense of style and quality as well as a love of gourmet food, art and history. For example, did you know that the Tokyo Tower was inspired by the Eiffel Tower, or notice how hauntingly similar kaiseki ryori, the traditional Japanese multi-course meal is to the tasting menus that are so common in French dining?

I have always been drawn to classic styles that are fashion-forward without being too trendy. I love clothing that is timeless and edgy and that draws you in through its meticulous attention to detail, whether it's the buttons, cut, material or color palette. In 2011 I launched Mikimoiselle so I can bring you elegantly chic treasures that I find in Paris and Tokyo. I work with small, indie designers who are masters of their craft. At Mikimoiselle you will find statement pieces that will make your wardrobe pop.

I always knew I would be a cultural bridge in some way, shape or form, after spending almost 18 years in Japan and also having lived in Chicago, Seattle and now San Francisco. I am so pleased I can do this through Mikimoiselle. Thank you for visiting my shop. I hope you find items unique and special that you will enjoy for years to come.
